Sobriety Check… Tammy Tangent Tuesdays!

Sobriety Check…

Can You Walk A Straight Line?

Tammy Tangent Tuesdays

Hi Beautiful, I pray you enjoyed last week’s challenge in radiating that beautiful smile of yours while changing the atmosphere everywhere your feet walked.

I know for myself, smiling helped cure a lot of other ailments I was suffering from when others reciprocated my joy.

Thank you for spreading the love of our Lord. It’s that time again, it’s Tammy Tangent Tuesdays!

I don’t know about you, but 2017 was probably the hardest year I have endured physically, emotionally and spiritually. Even though 2018 promises great blessings with prosperity, I’ve been having a hard time acclimating, keeping my balance. I just cannot seem to scurry up enough strength to walk that straight line without losing my focus.

Failing the sobriety test…

What do we do when we can’t pass a sobriety test?

And here my liquid courage has been nothing but lemonade made from all those lemons. Okay, so there may be a hint of freshly grated ginger root in there, but…

And I thought being drunk on silliness and refraining from being so serious was the answer.

Can you walk a straight line sober?

I sure can’t. I can’t even dance on point anymore. My balance and gait seem to be off. Each time I take a step forward, I seem to get distracted and never make my destination. And there’s really not a whole lot going on.

I wish I looked as cute and remained playful with the tenacity to keep trying to walk the plank until I got it right like this adorable puppy.

I need others to help me stay balanced. Talk about discouraging when we can’t accomplish simple tasks because our past failures keep haunting us. You know those voices, the ones that say you’re not good enough, it’s all your fault, you give up too quickly, nobody cares, what are you smoking, etc.

God of Endurance and God of Encouragement

The great news is that our Beautiful Jesus knows our insecurities and every single one of our shortcomings. And the amazing thing about His Great Love is that He is a God of Endurance and a God of Encouragement. He has stamped us APPROVED!

Blameless Approved Stamp 2

Many beloveds seem to be surrounded by and facing a sea of problems with no relief in sight.

Speaking for myself, without others throwing out a lifeline or two or three, I would have sunk underneath the weight of the trials and tragedies of last year. Good riddance 2017!

Without my amazing support system, the circumstances that once looked treacherous ahead would have drowned me. I was able to face those crashing waves that were once threatening to sink me because God worked miracles through others as they helped sustain and encourage me.

Emulating Paul’s thoughts in Colossians 2:2-3, “My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”

The Body of Christ should be encouraging, full of endurance, unified communities that are established and committed to carrying out Christ’s work no matter our differences.

We all fear rejection, so why can’t we throw out and change the rejected stamp to approved only?

Blameless Approved Stamp

Let’s face it, the closer we are to the shepherd, our Beautiful Jesus, the safer we are from the wolves in sheep’s clothing. Let’s leave the wolves howling approved…

Claiming The Brightest Future!

“The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past. You can’t go forward in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches.”

Weekly challenge:  We are beautiful when we come together!!! This week let’s be beloveds who offer words of encouragement and endurance to help others let go of past failures. Let’s stamp each other approved and not rejected by loving one another in thought and deed, especially those whose traditions and ceremonies differ from ours.

Being beloveds who mirror our Beautiful Jesus help others believe their lives are stamped with approval and that their pasts do not define them. Instead, we encourage them to realize they are stronger and more powerful for having walked through, and survived, their pasts.

More importantly, let’s remind them that it’s going to take some time, maybe even a lifetime, before they can walk a straight line. And it’s okay, because we are already stamped approved.

Until next time…

Thank You For Being Beautiful You!

Just Because…

Just Because…

I thank my God every time I remember you.  In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:3-6).

Tammy Tangent Tuesdays

Hi Beautiful!  I pray you enjoyed the festivities celebrating and sharing your respect for our Fallen Heroes and their families.  Such selfless acts of valor and courage, all in the name of freedom!  I have to say, what an honor it is for me to be sojourning this side of heaven with y’all as we walk faithfully through each day radiating that Beautiful You!

I only hope that the many prayers that went out last week asking that our Lord would cover you with an outbreak of undeniable peace and joy that changes the atmosphere became obvious as you noticed all the beauty and wonder surrounding your presence.  Being highly favored is a gift!  It’s that time again; it’s Tammy Tangent Tuesdays!

God created His Beautiful Beloveds to glorify Him.  After all, He calls us His works of art and His masterpieces (Ephesians 2:10).  Oh, what love!  Sadly, though, I’m hearing and witnessing a lot of beat-up Beloveds in our communities who need a lot of Love, His Great Love, to be poured into and have their souls nourished with support and encouragement.

Being the hands and feet of God can and should be relatively easy, especially with the many gifts the Lord has blessed each of us with.  Let’s tap into this creative gift by writing notes of praise and gratitude encouraging one another to keep pressing through while affirming the blessings that their lives have graced us with.

I’m going for the handwritten card, you know, writing out a short affirmation of love and encouragement expressing how much their life and friendship has blessed me with.  I don’t know about you, but what a grand diversion and huge golden nugget to forever hold onto and tuck away in the fold of our hearts seeing words of love and appreciation when picking up and going through our mail.

Seeing words of affirmation saying, “I see you, Beautiful.  You’re such a Brilliant and Magnetic Light.  I love you and thank you for blessing me with the gift of friendship”; or to the single parent, “You’re doing a great job.  Keep loving those babies,” etc.  Not going to share all my ideas.  Ha!  You get the point!

What a great way to also model to our children and grandchildren how being God’s hands and feet is fun and rewarding while blessing others.  There are many military personnel, cancer patients and even teachers who would thrive and bloom with some summer love.

God wants His children to serve one another and that does not mean inclusive of the four walls where we worship at.  Get out, move out!  Move outside those four walls!  There is a whole world in need of His Great Love.

When we serve out of His Love, the kindness and gentleness of our gratitude for the alchemy given through our salvation will be illuminated without seeking to please ourselves.  A refreshing sprinkling of love that nurtures and sustains!

Being the hands and feet of God has never been more gratifying!

Weekly Challenge:  Pick seven special people, and it does not necessarily have to be family and/or friends, that you want to pour love into, honor and acknowledge.  This includes doctors, nurses, pharmacists, waitresses, law enforcement, first responders, pastors, you name it!  Write them a short message sharing that they’re not only enough, but that you appreciate them for their valuable contribution and wanted to let them know that their lives radiate love and how you can’t thank them enough for being a part of your life sojourning this side of heaven.

This could be in the format of a handwritten card, an email, a letter, text (please don’t ♥♥♥) or even a social networking posting!  We all love seeing it in words to go back and ponder and be encouraged.  This will be a token of love they will forever carry in their heart.

Until next time…

Thank You For Being Beautiful You!

Blameless Beautiful You Bouquet 2

You Are So Beautiful!

You Are So Beautiful!

You are so beautiful!  No matter what you think or what I think, you are so beautiful!  Every imperfection and battle scar and idiosyncrasy just introduces and highlights the depth and layers of your unique beauty.  Look at yourself.  Look into your eyes.  On the surface they may resemble a green marble with brown hues due to years of sun damage or even pale blue, but look at how they twinkle radiance when you take the time to grace your uniqueness.

Beautiful, our beauty is skin deep, not just superficial makeup that we paint on each and every day.  There is a reason we arise and are called blessed.  Those that witness us see us as beautiful.  They see through our veils of deceit and polluted lenses.  They see us through the life of Christ.  They see us through the lens of purity.  They see us as a light that illuminates darkness.  We are beautiful because there is no one like us.  God designed us in His image (Genesis 1:27) in every color, style, shape and size.  He did this because without each other, there is no beauty in the bunch!

And Beautiful, I challenge you to chew on these Truths in the Bible every day.  Write them on the tablet of your heart.  When you realize who God says you are, your worth and value, you will understand what it means to be confident without need to compare yourself to others and conform to what society dictates as being beautiful.  You will radiate your beautiful self by standing tall wearing your crown securely, because you will know and experience how loved, cherished and pursued you are.

Remind yourself of these Truths and speak them over your life daily:  I am beautiful because I am God’s masterpiece (Ephesians 2:10).   I am beautiful because I know I have royal blood running through my veins and that I am God’s temple and His spirit resides within me (1 Corinthians 3:16).  I am beautiful because my beauty portrays a woman of virtue, a woman of God.  I am beautiful because I am fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and God’s works are wonderful.  And when God says He makes everything beautiful in its time (Ecclesiastes 3:11), that means He created ME in HIS image (Genesis 1:27) and I shall never forget that I am His work of art (Ephesians 2:10).

I become more beautiful each and every day because even though I may be outwardly wasting away, inwardly I am being renewed day by day (2 Corinthians 4:16).   And because I have searched the scriptures and have received the wisdom that God says about me, I know I am beautiful because my Lord says, “She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her.  Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor.  Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace.  She is a tree of life to those who embrace her; those who lay hold of her will be blessed” (Proverbs 3:15-18).

I am beautiful; look at me!  When I smile, you can see the depth of me.  Never forget, Beautiful Beloved, “The Lord does not look at the things people look at.  People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart” (1 Samuel 16:7).  Now that’s beautiful!

Charm may be deceptive and beauty is fleeting, but God says in 1 Peter 3:3-4, “Do not be concerned about the outward beauty of fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes.  You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God.”

Oh, Father God, I pray that you let all of us Beautiful Beloveds taste and see what you see and start to believe.  Help remind us to meditate on Your Word, Your Love Letter, day and night so we can remember what fine works of art we are.  Help remind us that we are altogether beautiful and there is no flaw in us (Song of Songs 4:7), not one.

Let us pray:  Oh, my Lord, Your love surrounds me like the great expanse of sea.  Let me feel Your Love crashing over me.  Immerse me with your living waters and swing wide open the floodgates of your Truths upon my heart.  A downpour to wash over me and make me clean.  Oh, how your Word was once nothing to me, now is everything before me.  Oh, how Your Love has set me free!

Remember, Beautiful, in closing, what a beautiful name it is, Jesus Christ, and He is our King.  Don’t believe me, listen to The Name of Jesus by Hillsong Worship.

Until next time…

Live, Laugh, Love!

Living With Addiction Day 7 ~ Tammy Tangent Tuesdays

Blameless Words Matter

Living With Addiction

Tammy Tangent Tuesdays

Day 7 of 40

Words Matter

Hello Beautiful!  I pray you’re having a blessed New Year embracing some down time dedicated to renewing your faith and are being refreshed with all the blessings of favor and fulfillment found in drawing near to God.  It’s that time again; it’s Tammy Tangent Tuesdays!

Words are powerful and they become our reality!  Whether we realize it or not, what we speak with our mouths, our words, leads us either into victory or down a path of destruction.  I don’t know about you, but I have found that not only do our words express the condition of our hearts, but living in that Negative Nancy neighborhood (our mindsets) has guided me to places that were dark and full of torment.

The Book of James alerts us to the fact that with our tongue, we can curse our lives or bring blessings (James 3:9-12).  I believe that what we speak not only reflects our hearts, but it awakens and guides our feet by setting into motion where our feet will follow.

Have we become beloveds who constantly complain and speak negatively about our lives and other beloveds?  If so, we’re not only gossiping about others and spending way too much time in their problems (hello, don’t we have enough of our own?), but we’re allowing ourselves to lose peace and become like those we are talking about.  Misery loves company!

How about speaking out loud, “I forgive you,” and watch the blessings that will flow from that.  If anything, it will lead you towards peace and not the path of bitterness.

What happens when we profess we don’t look good or we’re never going to be successful or that we’re too old for love, those words spoken sets into motion where our feet will follow:  Defeat!  A bad day will surely arrive because we are led by what we profess!

Words can be traps.  For instance, when I used to receive compliments, I would immediately interject, “Oh, I look like crap, this is old,” etc.  Right away that shuts down the flow of blessings and oftentimes offends the person giving the compliment.  That person may pull away or shut down because who wants to be around Negative Nancy.  Not me!  Saying “thank you” acknowledges the compliment and encourages blessings through engagement.

Words are tiny seeds that will grow into blossoms radiating beauty and blessings or weeds that will choke the life out of us and foster bitter roots.  We are being led by our words, so let’s plant seeds of ample fruit through our words and usage of self-control so we can receive the bountiful harvest and season that God intends to shower us with (Galatians 6:7-9).

Don’t call in defeat by sowing seeds of bitter roots.  Bitterness grows like a weed.  Yet, positive and fruitful speech reaps beautiful blossoms as they open up reflecting the beauty and confidence within.

If we’re going to speak negative, we’re never going to end up having a positive and prosperous life.  I want the Favor and Abundance of God.  You know, we’re all imperfect beloveds living in an imperfect world, but we can resist the negativity in our lives by embracing change and speak with authority the power given to us by being positive beloveds who have gracious hearts drawing in God’s favor.

Weekly Challenge:  Let’s be the Beautiful Beloveds that God says we are, wearing our crowns remembering where our inheritance comes from, the kingdom of God!  Let’s start being conscience of what flows from our mouths this week and start sowing seeds that will bear good fruit.

Let’s speak words of affirmation and expectation such as, “I am beautiful just the way I am, There’s nobody like me; I will get my Master’s; my family will walk in the ways of the Lord; I will have a baby; I deserve to be loved, I will get married; I did a great job; I cook divine; I will get that new job.”  These are empowering words and will be a magnet for blessings to pull in when we profess them with our mouths.

Until next time, never forget…

Thank You For Being Beautiful You!

Let’s Blow Up Facebook and Social Media Tammy Tangent Tuesdays

Blameless Beautiful You

Tammy Tangent Tuesdays

Hello Beautiful!  I pray you are having a blessed week so far filled with all the love and beauty you generate just by being Beautiful You!!!  ♥♥  It’s that time again, it’s Tammy Tangent Tuesdays!!!

Tammy wants to come out and play by giving back to each and every Blameless Bloody Mary Flowers 7woman around the world by telling her how beautiful and special she is!  That requires help, from all of you!  Every woman WANTS and NEEDS to hear how beautiful she is by hearing one of the many reasons why others think she is beautiful.

Let’s blow up Facebook and other social media forums (I will get arrested now) with love and encouragement so every single Beautiful Beloved is acknowledged for her own unique qualities!  Truth be told, I feel since we’re so quick to post our political positions and objections, sharing selfies, slam religions, etc., let’s do the opposite and post love through praise and recognition.  Yes, I’m throwing a Tammy Tantrum instead of a Tammy Tangent!  🙂

Blameless Hands of God 4.4Weekly challenge:  Pass the flower around by picking seven girlfriends and tell them one thing you love and admire about them on their Facebook page by hitting the share button of this week’s Tammy Tangent Tuesdays onto their Facebook page and start an outpouring and overwhelming amount of love and beauty to each and every Beautiful Beloved.  Thank them by stating, “Thank you for being Beautiful You!  I think you’re beautiful because…” ♥♥

Remember, our friends fight for us, they respect us, they include us, they encourage us, theyneed us, they deserve us, and they stand by us!  This is our virtual opportunity to smile radiating that beautiful spirit that resides within us.  One person gets to bless seven Beautiful Beloveds all across our world!  Let’s make hearts smile!

Just think how quickly this can spread around the world.  Oh, happy day to spread some sunshine around in our dark world!!!  Our world needs to hear more love, more encouragement, more cheer, and definitely a whole lot more joy to build up and construct confident Beloveds rather than the demolition derby that seems to be prevalent these days with the ease in tearing down others on social media.  Radiate that beautiful you that is sitting idle; let this stir something inside of you to bless others with a word of encouragement.

Think about it, if every woman on Facebook told just one woman why they believe she is beautiful, it would be a matter of weeks before every woman in the world is told how beautiful and appreciated she is.  Domino effect!  What a better way to bring unity into our communities.

Most of all, Beautiful Beloved, thank you for being Beautiful You!  There is no one like you; never will be!  God loves you just the way you are, and so do I. ♥♥

Until next time…

Thank You For Being

Beautiful You
