âAnd we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him.â
â Romans 8:2
Some days feel like this image looks.
Your thoughts are loud.
Your emotions are tangled.
Your plans feel like theyâve been hijacked by chaos â and maybe even a few metaphorical crows have moved in and made a nest.
You didnât plan for this.
You didnât invite the mess.
And yet⊠here you are.
If youâre honest, you might feel overwhelmed, embarrassed, or frustrated that life doesnât look the way you hoped it would by now. But hereâs the quiet truth this image reminds us of:
God is not afraid of your mess.
What feels like chaos today often becomes clarity later. What feels humiliating now becomes holy hindsight later. God has a way of turning frantic seasons into faith-filled stories, not because we handled them perfectly, but because He stayed faithful through them.
Itâs okay if today feels loud, tangled, and undone.
Itâs okay if youâre still figuring things out.
Itâs okay if your life feels more like survival than celebration.
This is not the end of the story: itâs the middle.
One day, youâll look back and say, âThat was hard⊠but look what God taught me. Look how He carried me. Look what He redeemed.â Today is the chapter where youâre learning. Tomorrow becomes the testimony.
So take a breath.
Laugh if you can.
Cry if you need to.
And remember: being a hot mess today does not disqualify you; it prepares you.
Prayer:
God, You see the mess Iâm in: inside and out. Thank You for not turning away from it. Help me trust that You are working even when things feel chaotic. Give me grace for today and hope for whatâs coming. Amen.
Until next time…
Happy New Year!
