āCome Close & Sit With Meā
āWe love because He first loved us.ā
ā 1 John 4
ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø
If Jesus were trying to get your attention, He wouldnāt need thunder or fireworks. Sometimes love shows up with candles in the sand, a soft smile, and a quiet invitation that says, āIām not here to impress you. Iām here for you.ā
We often picture God as distant, serious, or perpetually disappointed. But the heart of Jesus is warm, welcoming, and deeply personal. He doesnāt stand far away waiting for you to fix yourself. He comes closer. He writes His love where you can see it. He invites, not intimidates.
You didnāt start this love story. You didnāt chase Him down or convince Him you were worth it. He loved you firstāon your worst day, in your mess, in your doubts, in your āI canāt do this anymoreā moments.
And hereās the part we forget: Heās not just offering forgiveness. Heās offering presence. Rest. Nearness. A place to lay your tired heart. The kind of love that says, āCome here. Sit with Me. Bring it all. You donāt have to hold it together.ā
If your heart is bruised, heavy, or bleeding a little, hear this: Jesus isnāt standing over you with crossed arms. Heās making room beside Him and saying, āCome closer. You donāt have to carry this alone.ā
You donāt have to earn that.
You donāt have to clean yourself up first.
You just have to come and be loved.
Until next time…
