  • DAY 12 — WHEN HOPE FEELS IMPOSSIBLE

    December 20, 2025
Hope feels like a myth when you’ve been fighting the same battle for years.

When progress never sticks. When December triggers you backward.

God doesn’t get angry at the “how long?” cry. It’s the cry of the worn-out, the exhausted, the barely hanging on.

He answers not with solutions, but presence.

    When Hope Feels Impossible

    Day 12

    “How long, O Lord?”

    —Psalm 13:1

    Narrative:

Hope feels like a myth when you’ve been fighting the same battle for years.

When progress never sticks. When December triggers you backward.

God doesn’t get angry at the “how long?” cry. It’s the cry of the worn-out, the exhausted, the barely hanging on.

He answers not with solutions, but presence.

Supporting Scripture: Psalm 40:1–3; Romans 8:26

    Questions:

    1. What long-term battle is wearing you down the most?
    2. What part of you still wants to hope?
    3. Who could hold hope for you temporarily?

    Prayer:

God, hope feels impossible. Hold hope for me when I can’t hold it myself. Amen.
