  • DAY 8 — WHEN NIGHTTIME FEELS DANGEROUS

    December 16, 2025
Nights worsen depression. The silence gets louder. The thoughts get sharper. The loneliness gets heavier.

Some nights, survival feels like a battle you fight alone.

But Scripture doesn’t dismiss night terrors; it acknowledges them. God stays awake with those who cannot sleep.

He guards the mind wearing thin.

    When Nighttime Feels Dangerous

    Day 8

“You will not fear the terror of night…”

    —Psalm 91:5

    Narrative:

Nights worsen depression. The silence gets louder. The thoughts get sharper. The loneliness gets heavier.

Some nights, survival feels like a battle you fight alone.

But Scripture doesn’t dismiss night terrors; it acknowledges them. God stays awake with those who cannot sleep.

He guards the mind wearing thin.

Supporting Scripture: Psalm 121:3–4; Lamentations 3:22–23

    Questions:

    1. What thoughts attack you most at night?
    2. What helps ground you in reality?
    3. Who could you call if you ever needed to?

    Prayer:

God, protect me tonight. Sit with me when my thoughts turn against me. Don’t let me go. Amen.
