    Dear Beloveds,

    Words That Heal

”A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver.”

    —Proverbs 25:11

Words are like medicine—they can either soothe or wound. In your marriage, let your words be like balm for the soul.

When you speak life, you are healing, not just communicating.

In moments of pain or conflict, your words have the power to rebuild trust, strengthen intimacy, and soften hearts. A well-timed, kind word can bring peace when it’s needed most.

Today, think back to a time when someone’s words healed you, even in the midst of tension. Let that memory inspire you to speak life into your spouse today.

    Speak Life Prompt:

Choose one healing phrase to speak over your spouse today.
(Ex: “I’m sorry I hurt you. I want to do better.” “I believe in you, even when you don’t believe in yourself.”)

    Prayer:

“Jesus, give me the wisdom to speak words that heal. Let my words be a reflection of Your love and grace.”

You’ve spent your life fighting for your community.

Now it’s time to fight for your marriage.

Let’s speak life — every single day.

Words are like medicine, they can either soothe or wound. Is your marriage, let your words be like balm for the soul.
    Words That Heal

Marriage is a battlefield—but you don’t fight alone. God’s got your six, and so do I.

With fierce love and holy defiance.

    Now go speak some life.

    With heart and honor,

    Tammy M. Ingram
