Proverbs 27:17 ~ Happy New Year ~”As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” Cheers to Friends!
Proverbs 27:17 says, “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” Cheers to Friends!
As we embark on a new journey bringing in 2015, let’s make it fabulous by not forgetting to be grateful and celebrate who walked alongside of us during the previous years that helped us reach this point: Our friends! Let us also be reminded that Jesus is our “best friend for life.” Cheers to Friends!
I just wanted to share how I’m embracing the new year by praying for all my beautiful friends as we usher in 2015 together with this prayer:
Father God, Abba Daddy, we again praise you for our tender hearts and for bringing us together in all these wonderful, yet strange, venues technology has afforded us the privilege with in reaching out to one another. We really are blessed! I love all my girlfriends, near and far, and all the wonderful guy friends that put up with all this estrogen, or in desperate need of! Jesus, we need your intercession here as we boldly ask for your grace and mercy to surround us with the love you so freely offer us through our friendships in 2015 that we oftentimes push away because of the guilt and shame brought on by believing the lies of the enemy. Help us lay at the altar all the ugly and negative words EVER spoken over our lives.
Father God, I boldly claim the protective hedge surrounding all my friends’ tender hearts and brilliant minds from this point forward which is bringing deliverance from every negative word that has ever been spoken over us and that we are now released from its captivity! Help us acknowledge that these lies do not dictate, nor define, our future. Help us, Daddy, embrace our past by walking through it, but help us leave it where it is, IN THE PAST!!! Help us recognize how our value and worth does not come from the opinion of others and that there is nothing to hide from or run from or be embarrassed about; it is what brought us to where we are now, ready to be vulnerable and transparent and share our hurts by letting You in surrendering our deepest and darkest recesses that only You can heal and know about. We praise you for these stepping stones of transparency and honesty which are helping us move forward with confidence knowing we’re Beloveds of the Most High and proclaim the courage to be set apart and used as light in a world that is dark and evil with boldness and courage all for Your glory!
Lord Jesus, help us realize our worth and how we all have an intricate part in your Kingdom which requires the surrendering and letting go of our facades. Help us to believe who You say we are in 2015 by bringing us Godly friends that will remind us of what your Word says and that will enable us to be transparent and vulnerable! Help us to remember and believe we are Beautiful Beloveds of the Most High, fearfully and wonderfully made in Your image! We love you, Jesus! Thank you for taking every brutal blow that has been inflicted on us, even though we don’t deserve it! We love you, Jesus! Let our lives glorify you through our speech and conduct in 2015. Help us lift each other up! Thank you for being our “best friend for life” and for blessing us with the friends that are walking alongside of us reminding us of our worth in You and how we are set free from the bondage of fear and insecurities that Proverbs 27:17 talks about, “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.”
In Jesus’ mighty and powerful name! Happy New Year!!!
